Scope and Contents This collection is primarily a pictorial history of the U.S.S. Mobile, 1943-1945. It is 156 pages long and has hundreds of black and white photographs showing all aspects of the ship's participation in World War II. There are photographs of the men in each of their onboard duty departments (supply, navigation, communication, engineering, etc.)as well as candid images of them participating in sporting and club activities.
